JioPhone Prima 2 Launch: Everything You Need to Know About Its 2.4-Inch Display and Qualcomm Power

Reliance Jio has introduced another affordable smartphone in India named the JioPhone Prima 2. A successor to last year’s JioPhone Prima 4G, the Prima 2 boasts an enhanced battery, a revamped design, and various improvements.
JioPhone Prima 2 cost and availability
The JioPhone Prima 2 is priced at Rs 2,799. Like other JioPhones, this device supports Jio SIMs (limited to 4G). The company provides exclusive recharge options for JioPhones.
One such option is a Rs 91 plan with a validity of 28 days, offering 100MB of daily data alongside unlimited calling. Additionally, there is a Rs 152 plan, which gives half a GB of 4G data per day for a duration of 28 days. Moreover, an annual plan priced at Rs 895 is available with a validity of 336 days, which includes 2GB of data every 28 days.
JioPhone Prima 2 features
The device sports a 2.4-inch QVGA curved display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Powered by an unspecified Qualcomm processor, the JioPhone Prima 2 is equipped with 512MB of RAM and a 4GB storage capacity. It includes a microSD card slot for expanding storage up to 128GB.
In terms of cameras, the Prima 2 has a 0.3MP (VGA) camera on the front, suitable for video calls without the need for a third-party application. Operating on KaiOS 2.5.3, the JioPhone Prima 2 provides access to a variety of apps such as YouTube, Facebook, and Google Assistant, in addition to Jio’s suite of applications, including JioTV, JioCinema, and JioSaavn for entertainment purposes.
Regarding connectivity, the phone supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and features a USB 2.0 port. The dimensions of the JioPhone Prima 2 are 123.4 x 55.5 x 15.1mm, weighing in at 120g.
